ECC Corrosion, Inc. located in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, is an established composites manufacturer serving the transportation, mining, pulp and paper, chemical and petrochemical, water and waste water treatment and food industries. We seek a highly motivated individual with solid quality control experience and strong communication skills to join our team. Responsibilities include inspection and testing of received raw materials, in-process inspection and testing of components as they are being fabricated and assembled, and final inspection and equipment testing of finished equipment prior to release for shipment
POSITION SUMMARY
Develops, implements and executes quality control systems and processes designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals including ASME RTP-1 standard and ISO 9001). Supervises a team of quality control technicians, assists with the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures and supports quality training initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
- Engage in and supervise other workers conducting inspection, testing and other support activities both in the plant and on location for field service projects to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
- Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
- Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
- Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives, including quality control program requirements for ASME RTP-1.
- Establish and maintain good quality management practices in accordance with ISO 9001 and obtain and maintain ISO 9001 certification of the company’s quality management systems.
- Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with plant manager to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
- Interpret and teach quality control philosophy to key personnel within Company.
- Provide and oversee inspection activity for product throughout production cycle in the plant and for MRO services provided for customers on field projects.
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
- Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts and materials.
- Maintain active role in continuous improvement process.
- Design, develop and implement standard operating procedures and quality control training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Education and/or Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years experience in the inspection and/or manufacturing of corrosion resistant fiberglass reinforced plastic equipment or similar manufacturing environment. Understanding of ASME RTP-1 standards preferred. Experience with or ability to learn kaizen and lean manufacturing techniques required. Experience with developing and documenting procedures required. Experience implementing ISO 9001 in the manufacturing setting preferred.

Must be able to travel to customers locations and perform quality assurances and control functions in support of field service projects.
