Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, afternoon shift position. The hours are Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with possible overtime available.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Shipping & Receiving personnel process all required paperwork for product shipments and/or product receipts in conjunction with the operations staff.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Produce necessary paperwork for each customer order shipment. (Bills of ladings, SDS, Certificate of Analysis, miscellaneous paperwork).
- Work closely with customer service and lab for required customer paperwork.
- Responsible to maintain warehouse inventories.
- Perform monthly inventory cycle counts.
- Process incoming supplier receipts as well as internal warehouse transfers.
- Verify that supplier paperwork and documentation is correct.
- Work with Co-Plant Managers to create and receipt batch sheets. (Bills of Materials).
- Receipt and process serial container (asset totes) transactions as required.
- Work with all departments to perform complex problem solving to ensure the customer receives the correct product and related paperwork for every shipment.
NOTE: Although this job description is Interstate Chemical Company’s attempt at describing most functions performed by the Shipping & Receiving Department, there are times when management will request additional assignments to be carried out.

Required Qualifications:
- High school degree
- Fluent in Word, Excel and Access databases
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
