Overview:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will solicit, understand, and define the functional requirements for products, implementations, integration processes and workflows, and other technical projects. You are responsible for managing the full lifecycle of new requirements varying in complexity and size, across multiple projects and working with both internal and external stakeholders, product and business partners, architecture SMEs, development teams, and QA teams to drive and implement a holistic and successful solution. Understanding business value, minimum required functionality to go-live, and technical feasibility is critical in this role.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will:

Facilitate requirement gathering sessions between internal and external technical team members and product stakeholders. Understanding business partner needs and requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand, groom, implement, test, and support delivery of our implementations and new products.

Work to become a subject matter expert on current application functionality and end-to-end system flows; identify gaps and changes required to support future state of products.

Work with others to define a holistic solution in partnership with architecture and development/technical leads, ensuring feasibility, technical restrictions, technical enhancements, scalability, supportability, security, and alignment with our roadmap.

Translate high level business requirements into formalized technical and functional specifications and user stories
- Understanding and timely completion of requirements and deliverables, working with Delivery Managers and others to determine MVPs and iterative delivery strategies as well as assisting with gathering t-shirt sizes and SWAGs to determine complexity, cost, and timelines.

Identify and prevent scope creeps within a current release cycle; work with and notify Delivery Managers and Senior BSAs for negotiating with stakeholders on deployment timeframes to ensure original scope is delivered on time, on scope, and with quality.
- Produce ad-hoc SQL queries to validate data specifications as well as to monitor success of the new feature/functionality via data validation.

Document source to target mappings, standard integration specifications, and other requirement artifacts via a standard and maintainable format.

You have a Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience

You have a minimum 3 years of business systems/technical analysis experience

You have familiarity with fundamental SDLC and development approaches, including user interface, ETL, rules processing, data integration, services, documentation, etc.

You have experience with SDLC methodologies of Agile and Waterfall, UML (class diagrams, sequence diagrams, state diagrams)
- You have proficient level knowledge in SQL (must be able to develop more than basic queries) and working knowledge of relational data structures / models / relationships are required.

You have solid skills with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.

You have excellent communications skills both written and oral to effectively elicit, facilitate, interpret and articulate requirements

You have Healthcare Industry experience preferably in the health plan/payor domain
