Job Title: Customer Accounts and Billing Representative
Resource Management Group is assisting one of our clients with sourcing qualified candidates for Customer Accounts and Billing Representative positions.
JOB PURPOSE:
Customer Accounts and Billing Representative is to ensure accurate and timely
billing, calculate bills for residential and commercial accounts, set up accounts,
audit computer listings and maintain records in the customer accounting system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Calculate bills for various accounts (residential, commercial, governmental, industrial etc., accounts), audit computer listings for verifying and correcting customer accounts.
Enter/retrieve data utilizing computer input/output equipment to update, correct or add information in the customer accounting system.
Evaluate, investigate and respond to customer problems or complaints.
Prepare/maintain various files, records, logs and reports to provide information to various departments.
Must be able to work under tight deadlines and meet daily quotes.
Note: Must be able to complete 6-8 weeks of paid job-specific training.
EXPERIENCE:
Customer Accounts experience in a billing department.
Experience with utility customer billing preferred, but not required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Six (6) hours of college accounting credits preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.
Must be able to work in an office setting under good conditions.
Subject to occasional light lifting/carrying items to other locations/building.
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment.
Position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities.
Must be able to complete 6-8 weeks of job-specific paid training.
NOTE: This job requires the ability to perform all aspects of the job within six (6) months under the following schedule:
1. Phase 1 Proficiencies: Must be proficient in Phase 1 (Items 1-14) within three
(3) months of start date.
2. Phase 2 Proficiencies: Must be proficient in ALL PHASES (Items 1-23) within
six (6) months of start date.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
