OVERVIEW:
Under the direct supervision of our Office Manager, the Front Desk position will be responsible for answering phones, organizing and scheduling patients, verifying insurance, fielding and answering patient questions. You will be responsible for posting daily charges, collecting co-pays, and inputting patient information into the EMR. You will also be responsible for the overall office organization including scanning, faxing, and filing. You will be cross-trained to cover for the medical assistants and x-ray tech if needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Not everyone can be the excellent addition to our team that we are seeking. To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:
● Language: Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
● Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role with comparable roles and responsibilities; preferably at a doctors office.
● Roles & Responsibilities : Answer the phones, check patients in/out, schedule patients, make appointment reminder calls and texts, verify insurance, post daily charges, collect co-pays, send patient statements, follow up on statement reductions, office scanning, filing and organizing.
● Skills: You must have great communication skills with not only co-workers/patients, but also with carriers to accurately verify insurance and support in resolving denied and underpaid claims. Additionally, you must have great customer service and human relations skills. You must also be a strong team player. This position requires a high-volume of phone calls, financial counseling, billing and collections support, which will require someone who is task-oriented and very organized. A strong understanding of medical insurance plans, worker’s compensation and Medicare, along with a strong knowledge of appeal requirements for each carrier is a plus. You should be punctual and willing to adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
