As our Manufacturing Manager based in Phoenix, AZ, you will be responsible for assisting in the supervision of all our manufacturing departments. This position is a key member of the management team and reports directly to the Senior Manufacturing Manager. You will build a partnership with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to identify and facilitate key projects that will improve quality, reduce costs, and improve cycle time. As Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for all of the Production departments' day-to-day operations to ensure prompt progress of job orders to conform with quality standards, production schedules and on-time delivery to customers.
Key Attributes and Proficiencies:
- Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) processes
- Knowledge of surface mount equipment (stencil printers, pick & place machines and re-flow ovens); including programming and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection equipment; including programming and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of aqueous cleaning systems; including programming and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of AS9100C and ISO quality systems
- Knowledge of IPC standards and inspection experience
- Knowledge of cables and system builds
- Knowledge of Project Management techniques, skills, processes and documentation.
- Knowledge of implementing new manufacturing processes to support project requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strategic thinking skills to create relevant processes, policies and procedures
- Responsibilities include:
- Producing daily production schedules, monitoring the production process of job orders and adjusting the daily production schedule as necessary.
- Lead daily production meetings with leads and/or department supervisors to direct production activities and establish production priorities.
- Maintain a constant awareness of jobs being processed, production issues and equipment malfunctions to quickly determine necessary alternatives to maintain schedules and on-time delivery.
- Serve as a link between Quality, Engineering, Design, Sales and Production to provide feedback on potential issues with work-in-progress.
- Prepare daily reports regarding work-in-progress to department leads and other internal contacts.
- Allocate personnel, material and equipment resources needed to meet production schedules.
- Work with department leads to implement company policies and goals.
- Identify and contribute to improving efficiency and process improvement.
- Capacity planning, including productivity measurements, manpower planning and material flow.
- Build and lead a cohesive team that executes objectives with intensity and focus.
- Hire, train and retain a high-performing, highly productive, results driven workforce.
- Create a collaborative environment within operations and across other departments. Inspire and motivate the team.
- Identify and implement capital expenditures. Deploy plans to maximize the effectiveness and profitability of capital investments.
