We are searching for a Kennel Attendant to oversee the well-being of the animals in our care. The Kennel Attendant's responsibilities include cleaning cages and providing animals with food and water and treats. They are responsible for being attentive and knowing each of our furry friends while they reside in our care to be able to communicate diminished functioning or change in behavior to the Vet Tech or Director.
To ensure success as a Kennel Attendant, you should be able to anticipate and tend to the needs of animals. Ultimately, a top-notch Kennel Attendant will be able to tailor their care according to animals' physical, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.

Kennel Attendant Responsibilities:
- Transporting animals to and from the kennels for cleaning and playtime.
- Ensuring that the animals have ample fresh food and water at all times.
- Cleaning, spilled food, fur, animal waste and other debris from the kennels.
- Disposing of trash in a timely manner.
- Grooming and bathing.
- Playing with our furry friends (this is the best part).
- Accompanying animals on walks, if required.
- Calming animals who are in distress and giving them lots of love.
- Adjusting the air temperature to ensure that the animals remain comfortable.
- Reporting significant changes in functioning to the Veterinarian or medical professional on duty.
- Laundry, dishes and stocking supplies
- Cleaning the yards of feces and debris
Kennel Attendant Requirements:
- A passion for animal welfare.
- Prior experience working with animals such as working as a pet groomer or in veterinary clinic or boarding facility preferred but not required, we will train the right person.
- A love for animals and a warm empathetic demeanor.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with humans and our four-legged friends.
- Physically fit and agile with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds unaided.
- Available to work during evenings, and on weekends and public holidays, if required.
