The Job
This engineering internship will offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various engineering projects while assisting with the creation and interpretation of engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engineering, possess strong technical skills, and have a desire to learn and contribute to real-world projects.
This is a part-time, Summer position that will average 30 hours/week. There is potential for this to become a Co-Op opportunity this Fall. Pay will be $19-$20/hour depending on skills and experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Project Support: Collaborate with our engineering team to support ongoing projects by conducting research, performing calculations, and assisting with project planning and execution.
· Engineering Drawings: Assist in the creation, modification, and interpretation of engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g.SolidWorks). This may include schematic diagrams, technical illustrations, and 3D models.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
· Testing and Analysis: Participate in testing procedures and data analysis to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with quality and industry standards.
· Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot engineering issues, propose solutions, and collaborate with team members to implement improvements.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with members of other departments, such as product, quality, and supply chain, to support interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design or related discipline
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks preferred
- Experience using a PDM system desirable.
- Familiarity with Ag Industry preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in an Ag environment with variable weather conditions and near livestock.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
