Wiley University is seeking a Library Coordinator, candidate must provide administrative assistance to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Library. Must be able to stoop bend, walk, and reach heights of six (6)feet, be able to lift or pull book bags and equipment up to fifty ( 50) pounds, push loaded book truck up to three hundred (3 00) pounds, have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primarily oversees day-to-day customer service at the Circulation and/or Reference service
desks on a daily basis, in a proactive and friendly manner
- Communicates with library users regarding questions for information (research and
computer searches), and interpreting and explaining library policy and procedures
- Compile documentation for use of library material in-house
- Assist supervising and training student workers on circulation services
- Assist with cataloging materials ( copy cataloging)
- Input data associated with weeding, maintaining, and repairing library materials
- Arranges and gives tours of the library
- Attend meetings in place of the Director of Library Services
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. One to three years of work experience in a library required. Additional work experience may be substituted for college on a year-for-year basis. Proficient in the use of various word processing programs and other office software program.
