GOH is a small management consulting firm supporting the federal government since 1997 (www.gohnow.com). We are looking for an energetic new team member experienced in administrative project management to support GOH’s NASA STEM Support Services Contract (NSTEM Contract) and serve our NASA OSTEM client.
Summary: The Senior Project Coordinator analyzes and coordinates schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget requirements on a per project basis. Tracks progress, assesses and mitigates risks, supports resource management, addresses issues, assists with reporting, documents lessons learned and provides recommendations for improvement or enhancements to optimize success in meeting project goals and objectives.

Background: The Agency’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education includes a common vision, mission, and focus areas that drive NASA’s endeavors in STEM engagement. The Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM) is accountable for the strategic direction and leadership of the Agency’s STEM engagement function and efforts. NASA’s OSTEM focuses on (1) creating unique opportunities for a diverse set of students to contribute to the Agency’s work in exploration and discovery; (2) building a diverse future STEM workforce by engaging students in authentic learning experiences with NASA’s people, content and facilities; and (3) attracting diverse groups of students to STEM through learning opportunities that spark interest and provide connections to NASA’s mission and work. The Education Project Manager is key to GOH supporting NASA’s work in exploration and discovery. This task and the EPM position will support the Agency’s STEM engagement function and its leadership to be realize this strategic direction.
The senior project coordinator supports STEM Councils Engagement and NASA’s role in the International Space Education Board (ISEB) by coordinating federal, internal and international NASA activities of councils/boards, providing integration support for NASA’s varying roles, and serving as an interagency liaison to support STEM, as well as providing planning, organizing and logistics for events and participants.
Essential Functions:

Assist NSTEM Management and Leadership Team in meeting customer objectives and establishing a trusting and safe environment where issues can be raised with an emphasis on innovation, improvement, and problem-solving.

Facilitate information flow between GOH NSTEM program team members, government stakeholders, and GOH management and leadership.

Assist in ensuring we meet all administrative and contractual requirements of running the program including reporting, onboarding/offboarding, invoice review, deliverable submission, etc.

Assure successful risk mitigation, resource management, and cost control.

Contribute STEM Engagement subject matter expertise and/or NASA history to contract effort.

Maintain relationships and assure customer satisfaction of NASA OSTEM leadership, stakeholders, and partners.

Use understanding of client needs and requirements to support successful execution of task order requirements

Create and monitor project timelines and task allocations - updating management tools with status for assigned activities in real time

Coordinate and collaborate across team to assure that all work products content and functionality are of highest quality and informed with up-to-date information

Develop SOPs and QC procedures; and update to reflect efficiencies, best practices, and lessons learned

Contributes to client progress and status reports (i.e., monthly reports, weekly registration metrics, etc.)

Documents all expenses in ODC tracker

Assist with market research / literature reviews and present findings

Prepare and maintain project file folders with all completed work products, artifacts, and deliverables

Contribute to quality control process - to include peer review of work products and coordinating QC of deliverables

Document quality control of work products and deliverables prior to delivery to client and/or management

Stay up to date on necessary technology and processes and show initiative in capturing, documenting, and implementing best practices and lessons learned to improve quality and efficiency of services and solutions

Work Environment: The work environment is a typical office setting with onsite days at NASA Headquarters or virtual/remote setting.
Physical demands: The job's physical demands include sitting for extended periods, and occasional walking and standing.
Position type and expected hours of work: This is a full-time exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 40-60 hours per week. Some job activities may be required outside of typical workdays/hours. Overtime is expected during peak periods.
Travel: 20% local and regional travel, with overnight stays necessary
Required education and experience: Master’s Degree Required
Additional eligibility qualifications: A minimum of 6-10 years of industry-specific experience required
