About the Position
The Project Manager is responsible for bidding potential projects and managing construction projects from pre-construction through completion on time and within budget while keeping in alignment with AquaTerra standards and proper construction techniques.
Responsibilities & Duties
Pre-Construction:
- Perform takeoffs, estimate cost to build projects and create proposals
- Curate and present material selections for client review and approval
- Review and red-line construction documents with Design team prior to Pre-Construction meetings
- Schedule and lead In-Office and Site Pre-Construction meetings for assigned projects
- Create Purchase Orders in Co-Construct prior to In-Office Pre-Construction meeting
- Collaborate with Superintendent to finalize project schedule
Construction:
- Develop and send addendums for client approval as needed when changes to plan are made
- Collaborate with Controller for client invoicing
- Communicate with superintendent regarding scheduling adjustments, deadlines for client decisions, etc.
- Make regular site visits to inspect jobsite progress, specifications, standards and critical details
- Attend milestone quality control meetings with superintendent
- Maintain client communication throughout build process
- Code and submit all project related receipts to Project Coordinator within 24 hours of purchase
- Review and approve invoices for work performed
- Order materials as needed
- Manage project completion process
Post-Construction:
- Participate in client Orientation meeting
- Schedule and lead Project Completion meeting
- Manage warranty claims as needed
About You
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction related field desired (combination of education and experience will be considered)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pool construction (experience with landscape, structures and hardscape are a plus)
- PHTA or Watershapes University Certification desired
- Knowledge of proper construction techniques, building materials and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Proven ability to manage several projects at a time while adjusting to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
- Current driver license and clean driving record for the past 2 years
