Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our oral surgery practice. As a Surgical Assistant, you will work closely with oral surgeons and other medical professionals to provide support during surgical procedures. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of operations in the operating room.
Duties:
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
- Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
- Provide post-operative care to patients, including dressing wounds and monitoring recovery
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience with X-Ray systems and medical imaging
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
