Affiliated Fire Systems is seeking hands on, technically inclined individuals who have experience with service, troubleshooting and repair of commercial building electronics and electronic systems. Affiliated Technicians are responsible for providing service at our customers sites working on commercial fire alarm control systems.
Requirements:
- Capable of troubleshooting and repairing all types of electronic systems
- Experience using a digital multimeter
- Good computer skills, including intermediate proficiency skill level of Excel
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Working knowledge of network communications and IP addressing
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a pleasant and professional demeanor
- Exhibit good judgement and a positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Qualifications:
- Have or be able to secure an Illinois PERC Card
- Ability to achieve NICET II in Fire Alarm Systems within 12 months of employment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and history
Responsibilities:
- Respond to service calls at customers locations to troubleshoot and repair commercial fire alarm systems
- Create, prepare, edit and service tickets
- Work individually and or as a team to diagnose and resolve fire alarm system issues
- Document all system modifications and or changes
- Produce quality technical documentation describing the work completed
- Maintain a vehicle and it’s stock
