Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Bilingual Daycare Teacher with a Bachelor's degree to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, fluency in two languages (English and Spanish), and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 1 – 4 years that promotes their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable exploring and expressing themselves.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
- Incorporate both English and Spanish into daily routines and activities, supporting bilingual language development.
- Observe and assess children's progress and communicate their achievements and challenges to parents on a regular basis. Modify teaching methods or materials to accommodate student needs.
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure that the daycare facility is clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and language acquisition.
- Serve as a positive role model for children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and respect in all interactions.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with other daycare staff members to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs and learning styles of each child.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
