About:
The Motorcycle Safety Academy (MSA) is accepting applications for part-time or full-time Motorcycle Safety Instructors (day, evening and weekend positions) to join our team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, engaged and reliable.
Instructors are appointed on a course-by-course basis as needed. It is our goal to maintain a pool of subject-matter-experts with industry experience. For this position we are looking for individuals that are interested in teaching adult learners. Our reputation is based on the quality of instruction we provide to our students and the ability to not only know the information, but to deliver it effectively and professionally. Instructors should be prepared to deliver content using a variety of methods to meet the needs of learners. Lecture should be complimented with other methods of instruction. Applicants will be contacted on an as needed basis.
Currently the MSA operates training centers in the Maryland and Pennsylvania areas. For the upcoming season, we are currently looking for instructors in Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Some of the locations include the following:

Our company's reputation is based on providing quality motorcycle safety training to beginner and advanced riders. We strive to make sure every student develops a strong foundation when learning how to ride safely. Our courses are effective, professional and fun.
Features and Responsibilities
- Assist in registering stand-by and walk-in students for courses;
- Welcome new and returning students to the course;
- Provide learner-centered training to beginner and advanced riders by using a variety of methods to meet the needs of the student;
- Assist in responding to student questions and complaints;
- Provide focused and pointed feedback to students;
- Prepare and document all student training, including preparing all the necessary training forms such as accident / incident reports, student withdraw forms and course completion reports; and
- Coordinate and work closely with the Training Center Site Administrator.
Expectations and Qualifications:
- Complete and pass a 2 to 6-week (depends on scheduling) Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Instructor Preparation Course;
- Complete and pass a First Aid and CPR Certification Course;
- Learn and understand the state’s specific requirements / laws for motorcycle licensing and riding;
- Complete a probationary period and pass an MSF quality control evaluation;
- Attend professional training to update and refine skills relating to motorcycle safety;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills with a high attention to detail;
- Ability to provide a patient and positive learning environment;
- Ability to speak with a calm tone and possess active listening and problem-solving skills;
- Knowledge and experience with motorcycles and the motorcycle industry;
- Ability to diagnose and perform minimal motorcycle repair issues;
- Ability to operate a motorcycle safely on a frequent and routine basis; and
- Possess a valid motorcycle license and maintain a good riding and driving record.
