Quality and development manager

working with attendance to site in Forest Grove (Minimum 1 x per month)
Job Purpose Summary
To effectively manage, through clear communication, the supply of products into the retail sector and bulk products being supplied by Chaucer LA. Reporting to Operations Director B2C with functioning reporting line to Group Lead Manager Technical & Quality.
Support the global technical teams and site food safety quality teams to monitor, maintain and improve customer satisfaction with the supply of good quality, legally compliant and authentic products.
Manage product development, and product changes, for all existing product ranges and support global NPD teams for all new product development.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- First point of contact for retail customers (E.g. Kroger, Target, Aldi etc), including customer complaints correspondence, ensuring investigation are completed and shared adequately and in a timely manner
- Lead customer engagement for product development / product changes, including reviewing required quality documents and sharing information with wider global team as necessary e.g. NPD teams and regulatory teams
- Support with customer on line portals as required
- Add new customer requests, including specification requests, to Salesforce and allocate to relevant departments
- Prepare, pack, and ship development samples to Corporate Customers as needed
- Interface with other departments as part of a team to accomplish projects
- Manage supplier approval on the TELUS platform for all Chaucer LA nominated suppliers and co packers (outside of Chaucer Group functions)
- Provide notifications of new suppliers to global technical team and support with collection of due diligence documents to assist with approval
- Provide monthly performance updates to the global and senior management teams
- Remain up to date with legislation and food safety notifications, e.g. Prop 65, and communicate necessary information to wider site and global teams
- Lead and effectively manage any assigned subordinate staff
Other responsibilities
- Assist & support R&D/NPD functions across the group.
- Assist & support purchasing and global technical managers across the group.
- eg. new supplier selection & approval, market intelligence, etc.
Skills & Experience
- Basic knowledge of quality management systems, HACCP, etc
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills and on line portals / platforms
- Flexibility and adaptability of the schedule (depending on the season), fitness for occasional travel

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
