Job Scope and Accountabilities:
The Translations Project Manager role involves shepherding SAI Global's products from their initial translation, through the development and quality assurance processes, client review, and ultimately, the final handoff to the Client. SAI Global serves international clients, and the Translations Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects in all 52 languages currently supported by SAI platforms and courseware.
- Manage localization projects from beginning to end, working closely with translation vendors, internal production team as well as sales and services team
- Maintain a productive relationship with SAI Global's Client Services team and other internal departments
- Work closely with translation vendors and help find ways to gain efficiencies
- Coordinate the activities of the production and QA teams to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate in-country review and deployment with the Client Services team
- In charge of approving quotes and logging vendor invoices accurately
- Monitor and document project status
- Other projects as assigned
- One year experience in project management, with a focus in translation, internalization or localization;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in tight timeframes while maintaining accuracy and quality;
- Familiarity with graphic design tools, HTML, and Trados or other CAT tools is preferred;
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Independence in carrying out assigned tasks
Education/Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- Comfortable working with languages other than English;
- Native, or near native, language fluency in at least one foreign language;
- Critical attention to detail;
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, small-team environment with the ability to work independently and with the team;
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required;
- Must be able to effectively communicate within all levels of the Company, as well as with overseas contacts;
