The ideal candidate will have experience in providing support on all phases of worker’s compensation claims in Connecticut.
The essential functions of this position are the following:
Communications with clients, medical providers, insurance company adjusters, law offices, worker’s compensation commission staff, and experts
Draft and review correspondence
Obtain medical records
Attend worker’s compensation hearings on occasion
Review and summarize medical records and other discovery materials
Formal Hearing/Trial preparation, including electronic presentations and assisting with depositions
Requirements:
2 years of Worker’s Compensation experience.
Paralegal certificate and/or college degree.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and accommodate rush requests.
Must be a team player, willing to help other team members during peak times.
Must be able to work independently on complex files.
Strong attention to detail, very organized, and motivated.
Superior computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite is needed.
Knowledge of TABS3/PracticeMaster software helpful, but not required.
