Installation Technician
Ride Manufacturing Incorporated (RMI) is seeking hardworking, motivated individuals to join our installation team. Our Installation team installs new amusement rides and performs service work on existing amusement rides. Installation Technicians will travel with the RMI team to amusement parks nationwide to complete projects such as: erect new amusement rides, disassemble and relocate existing amusement rides, perform preventive maintenance on existing amusement rides, and complete other various mechanical work.
We are looking for candidates that are willing to travel. Selected candidates will not need to routinely report to the office, but will need to travel to the assigned work site during projects. No permanent relocation is required. Travel expenses and a daily per diem are paid for by RMI.
Responsibilities and Job Duties
As an Installation Technician, you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various systems and equipment on amusement rides through:
· Using straps, come alongs, chain falls, and other rigging equipment to hoist, move and assemble amusement ride track and columns and other ride components
· Work with cranes, manlifts, reach forks, and other equipment
· Work at heights bolting together ride structures and performing maintenance on ride components
· Parts removal, installation and alignment
· Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions
· Read basic mechanical assembly drawings and manuals
· Maintain accurate records of installation activities and report any issues to the supervisor
· Become familiar and gain experience in amusement ride systems
· Assist team in daily set up of tools and equipment, carry supplies and tools around job site as directed
· Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and the team by keeping all job sites clean and secure
· Complete and maintain OSHA 30 construction certification, demonstrate safe work practices and safety leadership at all times
· Perform all other duties as instructed by RMI supervision and management
· Adhere to RMI travel and accounting guidelines
Qualifications and Skills
· Mechanical skills, rigging experience, and/or construction background
· Skilled with hand tools, grinders, drills, torches, etc.
· Experience or certification for operation of all terrain reach forks, scissor lifts, and manlifts
· High school diploma/ GED
· Previous experience on a construction site or in an amusement park preferred
· Ability and willingness to learn
· Excellent communication and listening skills
· Willingness to contribute to and be part of a team

This is a full-time position with benefits including:
· $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, full-time position with overtime pay

Job Requirements
The RMI team works long hours in all weather conditions. This position will require traveling to job-sites and working outside. It is necessary that candidate be able to:
· Work long hours, nights, and weekends
· Maintain a valid driving license
· Travel to job locations
· Work in all weather conditions
· Stand and walk for long periods of time
· Work at heights over 50 feet
· Easily carry 50lbs
