Job Description: Laboratory Technician
What You'll Do:
- Execute Activities for Product and Component Qualifications: Follow established protocols to perform tests and inspections on products and components to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Sample Preparation and Testing: Prepare samples according to specific protocols and conduct tests as directed by Engineers.
- Data Management: Accurately compile, record, and maintain data from tests and inspections.
- Report and Presentation Assistance: Help prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing test results and findings when needed.
- Lab Equipment Operation: Competently operate various laboratory equipment to conduct tests and obtain results.
- Problem Identification and Resolution: Recognize issues that may impact test performance or result reporting, and take corrective action or notify the supervisor immediately.
- Lab Maintenance: Keep the laboratory clean and ensure all equipment is functional.
- Compliance and Safety: Follow all departmental rules, laboratory procedures, and company regulations as outlined in the employee handbook. Adhere to department-specific safety guidelines.
- Physical Activities: Engage in standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, manual manipulation, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds as part of daily tasks.
Who You Are:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a mechanical testing lab is preferred but not required.
- Laboratory Skills: Ability to follow laboratory instructions and safety requirements meticulously.
- Time Management: Demonstrates excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently and multitask.
- Initiative: Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computer use.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $24.50 per hour
