Position: Project Director
Reports To: Associate Vice President
Job Summary: The Project Director is responsible for overseeing a team of project managers, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. This senior leadership role involves managing daily team meetings, coordinating internal and external communications, and supervising project execution. The Project Director will play a critical role in hiring and training new team members, while also ensuring accurate billing and scope management. This position requires a seasoned project management professional with excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
o Oversee and manage a team of project managers, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
o Serve as the senior point of contact for all projects within their team.
2. Meeting Coordination:
o Conduct daily meetings with their team to go over goals and priorities for the day.
o Hold internal meetings as necessary to ensure project alignment and address team needs.
o Attend onsite meetings and calls with project managers as required.
o Participate in senior weekly management meetings with key stakeholders, including President, Vice-president, Controller and other Directors.
3. Project Supervision:
o Provide minimal supervision on project management-related tasks, fostering independence and accountability within the team.
o Offer support on complex fabrication/installation-related items with assistance from Senior management and Associate Vice President as needed.
4. Hiring and Training:
o Lead the hiring process for new team members.
o Train new hires, particularly on Odoo and the new ERP system rollout, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their roles.
5. Billing and Scope Management:
o Review monthly requisitions of all team members to confirm accurate billing and up-to-date scope management.
o Ensure all project billing aligns with the agreed-upon scope and deliverables.
Qualifications
Proven experience in project management, preferably in construction, engineering, or related areas, with a track record of leading and overseeing project teams.
- 5+ years of construction project management experience minimum.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in the Signage Industry is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a professional demeanor.
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be organized and able to work independently.
- Must have basic knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project (or comparable program)
- Ability to reliably commute to Mount Vernon, NY.
Schedule
Monday – Thursday; 7:30 am to 4:30 pm | Friday; 7:30 am to 1:30 pm
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
