Getinge - High Purity New England has grown from a small team of three people to a large and deeply experienced organization, committed to overcoming bioprocessing challenges from discovery to commercial launch. The Quality Inspector is responsible for incoming inspection of raw materials and distributed products, in process and final inspections. The Quality Inspector is accountable for all products manufactured by HPNE to ensure conformance to specifications.
The candidate we seek will be responsible for:
· Performs inspection of raw materials for conformance to specifications based on specified sampling plans, using testing instruments (if appliable) and inspection procedures
· Performs in-process and final inspection of all products for conformance to specifications (inspection procedures and engineering drawings), conducting visual inspection and testing components/assemblies in production
· Assists with development of inspection procedures for raw materials, distributed products and products manufactured by HPNE
· Performs label inspections (i.e., product labels and box labels)
· Maintains and records quality testing information within a batch record
· Performs thorough batch record review prior to accepting product lot for release
· Completes all quality tasks within established HPNE guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
· Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
· Applies principles of GMP and ISO Standards
· Trains other employees
· Supports continuous improvement and elimination of waste from processes and methods
· Reads blueprints and specifications to ensure that production standards are met
· Uses measuring tools such as calipers and various gauges to ensure correct dimensions
· Performs other projects and duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager and Director of Quality for the overall benefit of the organization
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
· Strong attention to detail
· Must be able to work in a team environment with a cross functional team
· Excellent communication skills
· Exceptional analytical skills
· Familiarity with use of rulers and calipers
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality control inspections required
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in reviewing mechanical and electrical drawings
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· ERP experience preferred
· Cleanroom experience preferred
· Some college preferred
