The Engineering Manager will report to the Critical Environments Manager. The Engineering Manager will oversee the operations of all building systems, infrastructure, plant and equipment, and ensure they run efficiently, safely and cost-effectively. The Engineering Manager is to provide comprehensive engineering, critical environment management and technical services to the client, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk management.
Accountable for but not limited to:
Educate and engage the facilities team to provide industry knowledge updates and support development.
Build strong working relationships with key client representatives and promote JLL’s Engineering Operations platform and provide a key linkage between the wider JLL organization and the client representative and account team
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of programs and procedures
Plan and manage budgets for Engineering & Operational contracts
Creation and consistent updating/tailoring of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and operational documentation.
BCP management and consequential training relating to WHS/Compliance. Assist vendor manager with managing contract vendors for technical services
Ensure proper engineering documentation and adherence to the established change management controls for all sites
Protect the health and safety of staff and others by adhering to and developing guidelines and strategies – Compliance governance
Conduct audits to ensure that all safety procedures, including Emergency management plan and business continuity plan and escalation procedures are in place and maintained
Ensure compliance with JLL programs and statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards
Plan and take responsibility for smooth operations of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing installations and Civil works pertaining to the facility
Proactively manage the risk register with adequate communication to all involved stakeholders, implementing risk mitigation methods with a continual focus on closing out matters and therefore minimizing risk.
Some travel to support sites will be required.
