Title: Assistant Home Accessibility Technician; Grab bar, Stairlift, Ramp Installations

Hours: 40 hrs/week 7AM - 4 PM M-F
Rate: $15 - 18 per hour
Jobsite Duties:
- Install Grab Bars independently (Tile, Drywall, & Fiberglass applications)
- Install wooden handrails independently
- Install aluminum/wooden/vinyl railings independently with assistant
- Successfully complete in-house StairLift Installation & Servicing Training program
- Install Stair Lifts independently with an assistant upon training completion
- Install Aluminum Modular Ramps independently with an assistant
- Install CleanCut Tub Cut independently upon training completion
- Provide assistance as needed to Senior Home Access technicians
Supplemental Duties:
· Organize vans & workshop as needed
Qualifications:
· Working knowledge of common power hand tools
· Reliable transportation. Valid RI driver’s license. Clean Driver’s License
· Prompt & Reliable. Ability to Arrive on Time
· Ability to occasionally Lift up to 50 pounds
· Agreeable to General Background Check
· Exhibit tact & respect for elderly & disabled population. Occasional cordial interaction with clients.
Miscellaneous:
· Participate in Continuing Education activities
· Future opportunity for advancing to Associate & Senior Home Modification Technician

What We Do:
Oakley Home Access helps people remain in their homes safely as well as return to their homes after injuries and illnesses. We offer a Free Home Safety Assessment provided by an occupational therapist or certified aging in place specialist. We educate our clients, their loved ones, and their healthcare providers about what exactly we can provide for them. We then are able to install any and/or all equipment recommended in a timely manner in order to maximize mobility at home.'
