ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER:
We are seeking an estimator/project manager to join our team. We are looking for someone with 10 years experience in estimating private and public construction including site work, road construction, underground utilities, concrete flatwork, asphalt paving, etc. Our office is located in White Plains, NY. Most of the work we perform is in the 5 boros of NYC.
ESTIMATING DUTIES:
We are looking for someone with basic knowledge of manpower and equipment productions as well as the ability to quantify and estimate the work, procure material and subcontractor pricing, etc. based on the following:
- Utilize software such as Stack Estimating and HeavyBid to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Review and evaluate material pricing and subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness.
- Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing.
PROJECT MANAGER DUTIES:
- Knowledge of construction site operations and processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Tracking job costs
- Identifying Changes and preparing Change Orders
- Preparing and Submitting Payment Applications
- Completing all paperwork required by General Contractors and/or Agencies
