Our office is looking to add a skilled dental receptionist/scheduling coordinator to our team. In this role, you will serve as the chief point of contact for our patients. This means that having an upbeat attitude and professional demeanor are essential. You’ll greet patients and communicate with patients via phone calls, emails, or texts to ensure their needs are being met.
You will also help our office operate more effectively. This will include completing tasks like scheduling and canceling patient appointments, communicating with insurance providers to verify eligibility and benefits, prepare and discuss treatment plan and estimates with patients as needed, refilling office supplies, and filing documents, as well as other duties assigned by the doctor and/or office manager. Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Greet patients who enter the office warmly
- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments as needed
- Assist patients in filling out required forms
- Gather and Enter all patient information in to practice management software
- Collect payment from patients
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefit coverage
- Review and follow up on the following reports: Recall, Missed, and Cancelled appointments (maintaining a productive schedule is a top priority)
- Perform office duties such as document filing, scanning, and copying
Requirements:
- Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and ADA codes. Must have prior dental experience!
- Basic computer literacy is a must, Dentrix a plus
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
- Proficiency or ability to learn dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Dexis
- Motivated Self Starter with the ability to multi-task with accuracy
- Strong work ethic and Reliability, a Professional Team Player Attitude is required
- Excellent communication skills are a must, bilingual a plus but not required
- CPR certificate is a plus
