Premier Early Childhood Education Partners is seeking a Facilities Project Manager Intern to play a contributing role on our Facilities team.
The Internship will provide valuable experience assisting the Real Estate, Construction and Facilities team in a wide range of areas. Many of the job tasks will be focused on performing projects on acquired centers and assisting the facilities manager in work order completion. This role will also give the intern valuable exposure to acquisitions at a private equity-backed business.
To be QUALIFIED for this position, applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree graduate engineering or construction program; or related field of study.
Required Shift: The right candidate will have the opportunity to extend this internship into the school year and may be eligible for a full-time team member position after graduation. The intern will be expected to work 40 hours per week through the summer and 15-20 hours per week during the school year at either our Chicago, IL office or remotely. Applicants will need to be within reasonable distance of an airport as travel will be required up to 25% of the time.
Schedule: Full time hours over the summer; part-time hours over the fall. Internship duration is approximately 6 months from start date.
Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Main Job Responsibilities:

Assist on a wide range of facility functions for businesses acquired by Premier.

For acquired businesses, coordinate vendor lists, capex construction, building permit acquisitions, project scheduling and completion of punch lists.

Assist with core maintenance functions including day to day operations of facilities.

Assist on multiple levels of construction and real estate functions.

Learn multiple construction and maintenance systems, including Procore, Smartsheet and Service Channel.

Wear multiple hats if needed and being a team player in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Other duties as assigned.
