Coordinator of Religious Education for Grades 6-10 (CRE) - Full-Time
ROLE PURPOSE: The Coordinator will serve as a full-time member of the pastoral team, reporting to the Director of Religious Education. This role will be particularly concerned with the faith lives of middle and high school students and their families, as well as young adults. There will also be a strong focus on evangelization and engagement, with the goal of leading others to a deeper relationship with Christ and a more generous service of our neighbor - which includes inviting home those who are rarely at Mass.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
I. Coordination and facilitation of Faith Formation programs for middle and high school students including Confirmation preparation. Classes for these age groups are currently held on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings. In the Archdiocese of Boston, the age of Confirmation is changing from Grade 10 to Grade 8, over the course of the next three years through Spring 2027.
II. Outreach to and engagement of young adults.
III. Hospitality and community-building, including a shared role in outreach efforts and creative thinking about new ways of engagement, especially with families.
IV. Pastoral and administrative tasks required by the regular ministry of the Collaborative which are shared amongst the pastoral staff.
V. Implementing the vision: The CRE plays an integral role in helping the ministries of the collaborative be shaped by the vision in the pastoral plan. (For a short summary of the vision, please see below.)

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree (master's degree a plus) in theology, ministry, or the equivalent
- A personal relationship with Jesus and participation in the sacramental life of the Church
- Excited about engaging the gifts of all the baptized for the Mission of the Church
- Relates well with others
- Hospitable and compassionate
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Spanish proficiency a plus
