The Lucille and Jay Chazanoff School of Business of the College of Staten Island of the City University of New York invites applicants for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Accounting, beginning in the fall semester of 2024. Specializations of interest include innovative accounting technologies, auditing, financial statement analysis, and taxation.
The College of Staten Island (CSI) is a City University of New York (CUNY) senior College organized around two academic divisions and three schools, with a total population of around 11,000 students. The Chazanoff School of Business has approximately 1,800 majors and offers an AAS in Business, a BS in Accounting, a BS in Business with concentrations in Management, Marketing, Finance, and International Business, and a BA and a BS in Economics. A BS in Information Systems & Informatics is offered in association with the Department of Computer Science. The School also offers an MS in Business Management with tracks in Strategic Management and Business Data Analytics, an MS in Accounting, an MS in Healthcare Management, and a Graduate Certificate in the Business Analytics of Large-Scale Data. QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
An earned PhD or equivalent in Accounting, or other appropriate area, and a demonstrated commitment to research, publication, and teaching is required. Knowledge of multimedia instructional applications, experience with business/management simulations, and business experience is strongly preferred. ABD applicants will be considered; however, their degree must be conferred prior to the first day of classes of fall 2024 in order to hold the position.
COMPENSATION
$79,188 - 99,532

Salary range for this position is $ 79,188-$99,532.
