The Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role within the Offices of Student Conduct and the Office of the Dean of Students, acting as the primary point of contact for a diverse array of individuals, including students, faculty, staff, parents, and others engaging with the office. They provide consultations and intakes, manage conduct cases, coordinate trainings and presentations, oversee certification processes, handle appeals, and manage administrative tasks (including Purchasing, AP, Travel, Parking, Keys, Access, etc.) for the Dean of Students' organization. This role demands a deep understanding of university objectives, student affairs, and development theory.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with laws pertaining to students in higher education, including Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, Clery Act, Title VI and IX. (Required)

Demonstrated ability to maintain sensitivity and judgment in the face of resistance, indifference or hostility. Ability to maintain confidential information with tact and discretion. (Required)

Demonstrated skill counseling undergraduate and graduate students on a one-to-one basis to resolve University-related problems. Ability to report to work on-time and professionally attired. (Required)

Ability to handle difficult or urgent matters with confidence and proficiency, and to interact diplomatically with requests that may violate the law or University policy and procedure. (Required)
