Position Summary:
The Lead Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist will play a key role in ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing organizational awareness, engagement, adoption, and usage. This person will focus on the strategy of communications, working with internal and external OCM resources; development of key messages and communications designed to support our people to be successful through change. We know communication is so much more than email, and this role will add the creativity in making their communications effective and stand out from operational communications. Building a campaign for the initiatives they support.
This role requires problem solving skills; leadership engagement and strong soft skills all combined to ensure successful implementation and adoption of changes across the entire organization. Additionally, this role will identify change impacts, including changes to business processes, systems, and technology, and be able to convey these changes in data and illustrative presentations for Sr Executives, project team members and Business leadership, to support their engagement and effective Sponsorship for the assigned initiatives.
The primary responsibility, in collaboration with the OCM Director, for assigned projects and initiatives, will be creating, and implementing full organizational change management plans, including engagement by role, learning journey plans by role, communication plans and communications designed to support the changes our people will experience because of our digital transformation projects. This role will create change management plans that maximize organizational adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The Lead Organizational Change Management Specialist will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization, and proficiency of our team members for assigned projects and/or initiatives that impact the organization. These operational improvements will increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of Leaderships’ desired results and outcomes.

What will your job entail?
Responsibilities:

With minimal supervision and in collaboration with the OCM Director and project team members, develops change management plans for assigned project work, which includes collaboration with Senior Leadership, other OCM team members and our business teams, to achieve successful change outcomes. Key activities include:

Change Impact Assessments: Understand the current state, the future state and articulate the impact by role, and how to solve for that gap.

Communication Plans: Understand the audiences and how they can ‘hear’ the messages.

Communications: Write engaging and compelling messages

Feedback management: Listen to understand and convey that understanding to project team members and leadership.

Learning Journey Needs Assessment: Clarity of role and skill needs of our team members, to support successful transitions.

Support and/or lead Learning Journey development including job aids and user guides: Easy to follow, in the moment support for each key step in a change that effectively supports our team members in their new ways of working.

Role based Learning Journey plans: Address each role learning differences and unique changes that require targeted individual plans and learning products to effect successful change

Sponsor / Leader Action Plans: Our leaders are great, and they need the input of the change impacts and recommendations on how to lead through change, this role will partner with our leadership to support their effectiveness.

Sponsor / Leader Communications: Create effective communications from our leaders, in their voice, to support their sponsorship of change.

Change Network engagement plans: Everyone needs to be engaged – at the right time and in the right way. This role will create the right level of engagement so support the ‘one team’ approach to changes.

Resistance management identification and mitigation recommendations: Resistance is normal and natural; we need to look for it and mitigate what we anticipate and be prepared for the unanticipated resistance.

Change saturation / heat map production: good data illustration skills

Adoption / readiness scorecard management: Identify key indicators of readiness behavior and actions and represent those for the right audiences.

Power Point report development and management: Engaging and specific content

Support strategies and contribute to ideation of creative, strategic, memorable campaigns that will excite and motivate employees to take positive and productive action.

Apply the Ryan Specialties structured methodology to deliver communications and change management activities.
-
Work with leaders and project teams to produce a data driven change plan which includes engaging and motivating communications, conducting readiness and resistance assessments using surveys, interviews, focus groups, or other methods; evaluate and summarize findings for project management and steering teams.

Work with project team members to identify the scope of changes and affected users related to projects. Complete End User Assessments such as Audience Analysis and Change Impact Assessments to determine the degree of individual and role-based impact.

Partner with Project management team members and Business Sponsors to understand the departmental goals and daily ways of working to align changes to business needs.

Identify potential areas of resistance and draft mitigation approaches.

Develop communication plans and communications, develop and/or co-develop change management plans outlining the schedules for related OCM effort, and deliverables which will support effective sponsorship, higher employee engagement and successful project outcomes.

Change management plans will include a Communication Plan, developed in collaboration with the OCM Director and Employee Communications team members.

Conduct learning journey needs assessments by role. Provide recommendations on how to develop and delivery learning objectives by role, in collaboration with Training Managers.

Coaches and influences stakeholders to help lead change management within the organization on technology, modernization and high-level corporate initiatives assigned.

Identify and recommend appropriate resources to support the Change Network, including their onboarding and leading of routine meetings in support of the assigned projects / change initiatives.

Identify success of the assigned projects / change initiatives. Manage measurement to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of users.

Identify proactively areas of resistance and contribute to mitigation planning.

Contribute to steady state new ways of working by role as part of the transition planning effort.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of enterprise technology deployment OCM experience OR a High School Diploma / GED and at least 7 years of OCM experience

Certified in Prosci® methodology preferred.

Certified Change Management Professional, CCMP preferred.
-
Experience in Insurance processes is desired.

Experience in Workday/ERP system implementation is desired.

Experience in participating in cross-functional projects and influencing key stakeholders.

Experience in engaging individuals, teams, and leadership to drive successful change.

The target salary range for this position is $142,120.00 - $186,532.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
