Quality Engineer
- Responsible for the daily tactical support of manufacturing product conformance to specified requirements through quality controls such as Control Plans and Inspection Instructions.
- Implementing containment actions for major Non-Conformances ensuring impact to production is minimal.
- Participate in development activities to pro-actively improve product/processes and prevent nonconforming product.
- Provide performance metrics, analysis, and input for the Quality function to other departments.
- Issue, review and verify corrective actions for effectiveness to prevent reoccurrences.
- Use the warranty and NCP system for review, analysis, and management of defective product.
- Support the use of statistics for product improvement and process control (CP, Cpk)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Four year college degree or two year college degree with 3 years' experience.
- Certain technical skills and training, such as quality tools and techniques, GD&T, process capability theory and SPC are required.
- Good problem solving skills (8D) are also required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Six Sigma GreenBelt certification highly desired.
