Receiving, inspecting, and logging all incoming items; our Receiving Team plays the crucial first step to our Warehouse and Production processes.
As a Material Expeditor you will:
- Locate and moves materials and parts between work areas of plant to expedite processing of goods according to pre-determined schedules and priorities and keeps related records.
- Streamlining interdepartmental communication, often working as a liaison between department heads, under the direction of the Warehouse Manager
- Working with Project Managers to collect relevant information about job status, putting together a cohesive and clear presentation and adding meeting details to the calendars of the attendees
- Performing clerical duties, maintaining accurate records within Epicor and adhering to established procedures, policies, instructions and guidelines
- Reviews production schedules inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required material and priorities of customer orders.
- Confers with department supervisors to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and condition of materials.
- Locates and moves materials to specified production areas using carts or hand trucks.
- Records quantity and type of materials distributed and on hand.
- Work may include the following tasks: directing Material Handling Laborer to expedite movement of materials between storage and production areas, receiving incoming material(s) that are job specific, transferring materials from warehouse to production areas, communicating with area supervisors the status of incoming and issued parts, and owning the open-parts tracker across all jobs
Qualification Requirements:
- A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
- An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced
- Ability to multi-task and provide team support
- Detail-oriented, organized and thorough
