Visual design and branding across all verticals (focus on digital)
We’re looking for a talented and digitally savvy design leader with a thorough understanding of the sports and entertainment advertising space. You need to thrive in the conceptual space and evangelize the bigger experience. The broader picture is your jam and you know that one-off tactical pieces aren’t typically a good foundation for long-term brand success. Every visual decision that you make is founded in meaning and purpose, while elevating the brand through disruptive creative thinking and visual storytelling.
You have the chops to personally execute dialed-in ad campaigns across every vertical including print, but you love branding, digital, and dabble in UX/UI. You live for crafting the details of each campaign, while finding never before seen visual concepts. You’re stouthearted and not afraid of a blank canvas, frank criticism, or ambitious thinking. You’re a tinkerer, inventive and purposeful. You are an orchestrator of type, color, composition, and brand.
What you’ll do:
- Create the visual language, branding, and style guides for long-term campaigns
- Principally lead and direct all aesthetic decisions and back them up with solid thinking
- Design independently as well as collaborate with our broader team of designers
- Work with developers, copywriters, CCO, UX designers and production teams
- Join strategic concept meetings for new and existing business opportunities
- Present thoughtful creative strategies and powerful visual concepts to brand teams and clients
What we’d like to see:
- You can present consistently strong conceptual thinking with passionate energy, a positive attitude, and a lack of ego
- You have the natural instinct to start a project off from a strategically powerful position and come up with unexpected paths to the finish line.
- You have a powerful portfolio, 5-10 years of visual design experience, and agency experience.
- You are a magician at Photoshop and Illustrator, while having a strong functional understanding of After Effects, HTML, responsive design, and the full Adobe Creative Suite.
- You understand that good design is just half the battle and each campaign must be guided by rock-solid creative strategy derived from insights, research, and market opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Portfolio showcasing branding, digital, print, and other relevant projects
