Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position requires excellent clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and vital signs
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Assist in discharge planning and coordination of post-hospital care
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed
- Provide ostomy care and wound management as required
- Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
Skills:
- Proficient in ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing
- Experience in infant care, toddler care, and family planning
- Knowledge of pain management techniques
- Ability to provide home care services as needed
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
