ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THE ROLE
Medix is currently seeking a Perioperative Clinical Applications Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our largest Healthcare Clients in the US. Our client is going through an enterprise-wide EHR Implementation: these roles will be to back-fill employees in their day to day operational support of PeriOp and Surgery Applications used across the health system.
Examples of clinical applications include Tracs4Life for Tissue Tracking, Surgical Instrument Tracking / Sterile Processing applications (CensiTrack) and applications to manage patient flow & scheduling in the OR - such as LeanTaaS iQueue.
The position requires a strong IT background in order to troubleshoot and support Clinical Applications in operations - both an understanding of the clinical workflows and integrations, as well as an IT background to support the database, server, storage and endpoints / users.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Working in a team environment to share administration and upkeep of a number of clinical applications used in PeriOperative and Surgery care.
- Examples of clinical applications include Tracs4Life for Tissue Tracking, Surgical Instrument Tracking / Sterile Processing applications (CensiTrack) and applications to manage patient flow & scheduling in the OR - such as LeanTaaS iQueue.
- Providing day to day assistance with clinical application issues - specifically navigating workflows, investigating file issues, database issues, HL7 Interface issues, and more.
- Interacting with / coordinating with clinical staff, IT Engineers, and vendors for successful triage and resolution of application issues
- Working on-call in a rotational basis (generally 1 week, 24x7 on-call every 8-10 weeks)

Escalating issues to the appropriate teams

Aiding in formulating and documenting system specifications, and training materials

Communicating with customers to understand their specific needs and challenges in utilizing these clinical applications

Offering guidance and training to users on software functionalities, ensuring optimal utilization

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting procedures, and FAQs, to assist users in resolving common issues

Participate in testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of applications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required 5 years of professional experience

Required 3 years of experience in a Hospital setting

Hands-on experience implementing and supporting PeriOp Clinical Applications (Tissue Tracking, Sterile Processing, Surgery Instrument Tracking, OR Scheduling)

Tracs4Life, CensiTrack, LeanTaaS iQueue.
- Strong root cause investigation and troubleshooting experience

A working understanding of Clinical interfaces (HL7, DICOM)
