We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a B2 HVAC Apprentice in Connecticut. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the HVAC industry while focusing specifically on residential and light commercial systems. Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced HVAC Journeyman with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
- Participate in the assembly, installation, and testing of HVAC equipment and components, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, such as cleaning filters, inspecting ductwork, and lubricating moving parts.
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system issues, under the guidance of experienced technicians, and contribute to finding effective solutions.
- Gain proficiency in using tools and equipment commonly used in HVAC work, including hand tools, power tools, gauges, and meters.
- Follow proper safety procedures for handling refrigerants, electrical components, and other potentially hazardous materials.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and classes to expand HVAC knowledge and develop technical skills.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, providing updates on work progress and seeking guidance when needed.
