Duties:
- Prepare sushi and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and presentation of sushi dishes
- Plan and create new sushi rolls and menu items
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies needed for sushi preparation
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines in the kitchen
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
- Assist with meal preparation and food service as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of different types of sushi and Japanese cuisine
- Ability to use knives and other kitchen equipment effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Food safety certification is preferred, but not required
