Description:
The Human Resources Administrator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resources department.
Job Functions:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refer more complex questions to HR management.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Maintain administration of claims pertaining to worker’s compensation claims and property loss.
- Provide clerical support to the HR department.
- May assist in answering employee questions regarding payroll.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Conduct and/or assist with new hire orientation.
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as, but not limited to, benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Other duties as required.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient with or the ability to learn Vista by ViewPoint, and any HRIS programs
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Reporting relationships:
Position reports to the Human Resources Manager
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for an extended period-of-time and frequently stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to touch, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move office equipment up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing computer monitors. Most work is performed in an office environment during normal business hours.
Work Environment:
Most work is primarily performed in an office setting and is considered sedentary work documents. However, the human resources coordinator may be required to interact with personnel and other stakeholders in out-of-office work-related events, some of which will be outside.
Experience/ Education:
High School diploma or GED required. Employee must have a minimum of 2 years human resources experience in the construction industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
