We are currently in search of a Concrete Structure Foreman.
Primary Purpose:
Concrete Structures foremen are responsible for leading daily activities and tasks to successfully complete construction projects. Foremen lead crews and are responsible for safety, quality, productivity, communication and proper care of tools and equipment assigned to the crew. Concrete Foremen complete activities and tasks in conjunction with plans and specifications and reports regularly to the superintendent.
Essential Duties:
· Develop weekly production plans and schedules in coordination with the superintendent to be used in the daily oversight of crews.
- Conduct daily huddles with the crew that includes production goals, hazard recognition, tools and equipment needs, JHA's and daily stretch and flex exercises.
- Maintain work area, jobsite, vehicles and equipment in a neat, clean and organized manner.
- Read and interpret grade stakes, boundary markers, utility locates, and basic plan drawings.
- Safely operate company vehicle to transport tools and materials to and from jobsites.
- Ensure crew members inspect machines/tools daily prior to operation for safety issues, fluid levels and wear and record results on daily inspection forms.
- Accurately report to supervisors or managers hours worked, productions, plan inconsistencies and completed quantities.
- Enter diary notes highlighting the day's tasks and activities and accurately complete and submit timecards daily.
- Complete all activities and tasks according to the plans and specifications.
- Erect formwork to proper line and grade according to project plans and specifications.
- Erect scaffolding and/or falsework according to engineered drawings.
- Place concrete with acceptable rate of placement and screed and finish according to specifications.
- Assist in the placement of concrete by vibrating, raking and shoveling.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma/GED
Minimum 2 years foreman experience
· Ability to communicate and take direction from supervisors regarding productions, safety, and best management practices.
· Ability to communicate and understand specific safety and skills training. General construction safety knowledge.
· Valid Colorado Driver's License and insurable driving record
· Working knowledge of safe small power tool and equipment practices.
