Ambition Custom Homes (ACH) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to play a pivotal role in our award-winning residential custom building firm providing services in Montgomery County, MD, and the surrounding areas. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our custom home construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities and conditions, coordinating schedules with our trade partners and vendors, handling material procurement, organization, and proper use, and ensuring that our high-quality standards are met throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities:

Manage all on-site aspects of residential construction projects from start to finish.

Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

Monitor and manage project budgets and expenses in collaboration with the head project manager.

Coordinate and participate in site progress meetings with the project manager and clients.

Keep detailed daily logs for each project in the Buildertrend software, including site-related activities, conversations, photos, and other relevant information.

Schedule all site inspections with the appropriate agencies.

Oversee daily on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Coordinate and schedule trade partners and laborers as needed for active projects.

Conduct daily site inspections to maintain quality control, cleanliness, proper use and disposal of materials, and other site-related aspects.

Ensure that all work meets or exceeds the company's high-quality standards.

Promptly and efficiently address any issues or defects without covering them up.

Implement and enforce company quality assurance processes.

Provide regular updates on project progress and work with the assigned project manager to address client concerns.

Engage in site-related communication as needed, with most client interaction managed by the project manager.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, ACH team members, and other professionals to ensure clear understanding and achievement of project specifications.

Foster a positive, respectful, and productive working environment on-site.

Ensure all necessary permits are obtained and inspections are successfully conducted.

Schedule inspections and stay updated with building codes and regulations to ensure project compliance.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a construction superintendent or a similar role in residential construction is a plus.

The ideal candidate has worked in the residential custom home building industry, preferably as a framing carpenter for a subcontractor.

Possesses hands-on experience and understanding of assemblies and plan reading.

In-depth knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.

OSHA certification and understanding of safety protocols.

A bachelors degree in construction management or a related field is a plus, however, Field experience is more valued.

Exhibits a willingness to learn and grow within our company

Willingness to travel and work in and around Montgomery County.

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Salary and Benefits:

Salary at $65,000 - $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
