Job Summary
The Product Owner is responsible for overseeing multiple complex product features or entire product lines with a high degree of autonomy and precision.
In this role, the Product Owner ensures the flawless execution of development cycles and begins to engage significantly with strategic planning aspects, collaborating closely with Product Managers to align tactical operations with long-term business goals.
The Product Owner must be able to optimize product delivery, streamline agile operations, mentor other product owners, and offer insights that shape the strategic direction of the product.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee the management of complex product lines, ensuring that all features align with the company’s tactical and strategic goals, and are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Facilitate multiple Scrum teams, facilitating advanced agile practices and ensuring seamless collaboration and communication among team members and across teams.
- Act as a senior mentor and coach to more junior Product Owner roles, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in agile practices.
- Coordinate closely with Product Managers to ensure that the tactical execution of the product development aligns with broader business strategies and market opportunities.
- Drive the resolution of high-impact issues that affect product quality and delivery, employing expert problem-solving skills to navigate complex challenges.
- Champion innovative solutions and improvements in product functionality and development processes, advocating for changes that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and incorporate customer feedback and market research into the product development process to ensure that product offerings remain competitive and meet market demands.
- Facilitate critical stakeholder meetings, effectively communicating product visions, statuses, and strategic alignment to ensure transparency and buy-in from all parties involved.
- Serve as a resource to provide expert level knowledge of EWN’s industry, platform, and business rules.
- Insure scrum team alignment with the product roadmap.

- Expert knowledge of agile and Scrum methodologies, with a comprehensive understanding of their application in complex, multi-team environments.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business OR two (2) years of relevant experience
- Five (5) years of experience using productivity software (ex. Microsoft Suite)
- Five (5) years of experience with Agile practices, processes, and principles
- Five (5) years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role in Product Management for software products
Preferred Qualifications and KSAs
- Experience with LMS and/or Compliance Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
- Familiarity with the energy sector’s regulatory environment and how it impacts product development and deployment.
- Oil, gas, or energy industry or SaaS business model experience.
