TRC seeks a full time Business Development Director for a leading European manufacturer in the electrical arena. Position will be based in Tucker, GA at US headquarters. Position requires engineering degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering as well as 10-15 years of experience in the Electrical Distribution industry with 8+ years of sales experience in electrical panels and/or transformers, preferably in busways. Domestic and international travel.
Position Objective
Business Development Director is a critical position which will directly contribute to revenue growth and achieving the revenue target of US electrical distribution equipment manufacturing market in USA. This is a key position charged with generating sales of busway distribution systems and providing account management to the customers.
The Business Development Director will review market activities to develop new businesses by following up new investments and understanding customer needs and make proper classification and evaluation of the customers. This position will be reporting to General Manager of the US operation.
Responsibilities
- Work with General Manager to build ‘go to market strategy’ aligning company’s overall sales growth strategy.
- Establish new customer network and generate revenue by building and utilizing diversified sales partners in datacenter, manufacturing, automotive, oil and gas & energy, renewable and EV Battery and commercial high rise, transportation, and healthcare industries in USA.
- Conduct regular searches and prepare reports to the management on new and potential public and private construction investments in US.
- Visit investor corporations, consultant engineers, MEP, EPC and Design Built, Electrical OEM companies and promote products and services, specifically, to explain its unique product features and service opportunities as well as the company capabilities and competitive advantages.
- Create future sales growth opportunities in datacenter business by reaching out leading consulting engineering companies in datacenter construction industry and promote current datacenter references of company and register company’s products specifications into projects specifications.
- Contribute revenue opportunities by reaching out EPC and Design Built Companies in US.
- Build partnerships with electrical OEM companies such as switchgear manufacturers to expand footprint of company products in the market.
- Investigate opportunities for construction projects in renewable energy and battery storage industries.
- Reach out developer companies, architects to increase presence of company products in hospital, high rise, and commercial building construction projects.
- Investigate sales conferences, seminars, exhibitions in US and make recommendations to the General Manager for annual marketing activities that will contribute positively for networking
- Plan customer factory visits to the company premises in Europe
- Provide customers with services including preliminary measurements, shop drawings, technical clarifications, and supervision services, if necessary, by aligning company project engineering team.
- Follow up on payments and delivery of goods between the customer and the company factories.
- Establish high level of customer satisfaction through timely response of customer inquiries, with clear and effective communications, and professional presence.
- Collaborate and communicate with all the company stakeholders, especially developing friendly relations within the company group which is one of the major core values of the company.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering
- 10-15 years of experience in the Electrical Distribution industry with 8+ years of sales experience in electrical panels and/or transformers, preferably in busways.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly growing, managing multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
- Authorization to work in the United States

- Willing to travel up to 40-50% of the time
