We seek a Technical Program Manager to act as the main liaison between Marketing and Product/Engineering teams supporting WhatsApp Business. This operational partner will be critical in cross-team integration, leading content campaign rollouts and overall delivery. The candidate has experience in a software or technology environment (preferably B2B, but not mandatory) and is well-versed in technical project and program management.
Responsibilities:
- Owns and maintains the In-App Content Team’s process and guidelines for onboarding new product/engineering partners into our in-app content deployment workflow.
- Manages the day-to-day relationship with WhatsApp Business team’s various product, engineering and DS teams, engaging them in preparation for a content rollout for their respective pillars, and managing and troubleshooting in-product deployment for each campaign.
- Owns execution & documentation of all elements of each deployment from start to finish, including reporting and communicating with all product cross-functional stakeholders at the end of each campaign.
- Help identify areas for improvement in our tools or processes that scale the team and reduce campaign time-to-launch.
- Participates in In-App editorial planning, keeping ahead of content calendar executions.
- Ensures and supports cross-functional delivery teams as needed across workstreams and initiatives.
- Identifies, communicates and escalates any risks or opportunities to deliver deployments as expected.
Experience and Skills:
- 7+ years of experience as a technical program manager, or related discipline, for internet and/or consumer technology
- Comfortable working independently under quickly changing conditions and priorities, can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Excels at fostering cross-functional collaboration with experience working with both technical (data science, product and engineering) and brand/creative teams in a fast-moving environment
- Experience authoring and leading project plans across multiple engineering and DS (data science) teams
- Experience with troubleshooting and working with engineering and data scientists on technical problems to resolution
- Impact-oriented, and experienced with data, A/B testing, as well as reporting on results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate business results and recommendations clearly and effectively to all levels within the organization
- Preferred but not mandatory: Experience using in-app levers to drive marketing results
This role is preferred to be located in the Northeast U.S. or accommodates east coast working hours and able to travel to the NY-based office from time to time. Role is an embedded contractor dedicated to the Business Messaging team at Meta. Benefits are included with a 12-month contract to start, which will be eligible for renewal.
