Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients in their home. Your role will involve assisting with patient care, implementing treatment plans, and documenting progress.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating patients' conditions and developing individualized treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretches, and manual techniques
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Instruct patients on proper techniques for performing exercises and using therapeutic equipment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- BLS Certification
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Experience in home care settings and familiarity is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
