Bio has an opening for a full time Licensed Psychologist in our internationally known private clinic established in the treatment and research of OCD related disorders. We specialize in treating OCD and related disorders. If this is a population that interests you, we are the place for you.
We offer clients empirically supported treatment including in-vivo exposure therapy, CBT, ACT, and individual and group DBT. With us you have the opportunity to get out from behind the desk for part of the day and support your patients in the real world to address their symptoms (some pastexamples include: buying a pet fish and taking care of it with their patient, playing soccer, riding the train to grand central, trips to the mall, trips to the coffee shop, volunteering at a soup kitchen)
Our IOP program is unique in that the main focus of our approach is 1-1 treatment with our patients, as opposed to group. For your IOP patients you'll be working with a team of 2-3 other therapists to help your client get back to living the life they want. This is not a place where you will be working alone and isolated in your office all day. You'll be spending time out in the world with patients, collaborating with your IOP teams, offering advice to colleagues on tough cases and hopefully supervising junior staff.
The majority of our patients are here because they are motivated to change. These are exciting patients to work with. These are patients that with your help will make life changing progress during their time with Bio. A subset of our patients are higher severity where they have had to leave school or work due to their symptoms. The progress is not always quick but it is always meaningful. The work they do with you is transformational when you are able to help them get back to school, or work and re-engage in their life. THIS IS LIFE CHANGING WORK.
