Description:
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for providing data driven cost savings initiatives through historical analysis, enhancing freight provider performance, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvements and working as part of a team to develop recommendations for the business.
Requirements:
Main Responsibilities

Use supply chain knowledge and analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to help improve decision-making.

Make and execute decisions regarding delivery needs from customer orders.

Manage relationships with TMS provider representatives, carrier representatives and other team members to help resolve shipping issues.

Proactively problem solve and communicate with appropriate internal contacts when product or customer service issues arise.

Follow up on order and shipping errors to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Monitor key department metrics, including freight and finished goods’ inventory costs, to identify opportunities for improvement.

Evaluate current processes and suggest any appropriate improvements to increase efficiency and better the customer experience.

Deep dive into operational data while using KPIs to improve costs and customer delivery service.

Point of contact for internal Shipping/Receiving and ability to cross-train as backup support.

Process and code freight provider invoices through a Freight Audit & Payment program

Manage pallet exchange program and annual audit.

Manage and set appointments for customer pick-ups.

Assist Director of Logistics with various projects

Additional projects, tasks, and/or assignments as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistic related discipline is preferred.

2-5 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics services, and/or third party logistics operations.

Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), capable of conveying supply chain ideas to other departments.

Ability to adapt to change and willing to keep up to date with the trends and issues of the manufacturing and transportation industries.

Detail oriented

Able to deal with a high volume of email traffic and cooperate with a team to ensure prompt responses.

Able to prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities.

Able to work autonomously to take initiative and ownership of complex problems to find creative solutions.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
