Accounts Payable Accountant
Job Description: The Accounts Payable Accountant manages processing invoices and payments by performing the essential duties and responsibilities listed below—individual reports directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working with outsourced groups to ensure correct coding of invoices.
- Responsible for coding and routing of check requests and other critical requests.
- Oversee the input, coding, and approvals of ad valorem taxes.
- Process weekly check run including the Paid AP Detail Report on a rotating weekly basis.
- Follow up and aid owner relations in the resolution of outstanding items.
- Review and reconcile accounts as needed.
- Aid in onboarding suppliers in Enverus OpenInvoice.
- Prepare and process monthly expense reclass journal entries.
- Process monthly reports related to utilities.
- Monitor invoice approval routings.
- Perform analytical reviews of monthly expenses as needed.
- Any other duties of a similar nature as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 -10 years E&P experience preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office with proficient Excel spreadsheet skills (including but not limited to pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas). OGSYS software is a plus.
