The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions in a multi-entity environment. This position will work with and manage our existing Accounting team to ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies and external audits, and will report to the Chief Executive Officer and President.
The ideal candidate possesses leadership experience, a solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter who works well in a collaborative environment, and has a high level of integrity that can be used to maintain accountability of the department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- General Ledger and Subledger management and reconciliation, to include A/P, A/R
- Month-end close activities, to include journal entries, accruals, expense allocations, analysis, etc.
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, and daily bank account reconciliations, etc.
- Monthly sales tax filings for several entities and states
- Conduct monthly check-ins with team and annual evaluations
- Tasks to support projects to integrate any new acquisitions into financial systems
- Any other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Physical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience suitable for the role.
- Experience managing a department with structured evaluations and check-ins
- May require extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
