Description
- Develop, write, coordinate, and present professional learning opportunities that includes, but not limited to, pedagogy, classroom management, assessment, culturally responsive practices, use of technology in the classroom, etc.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of student learning opportunities that includes, but not limited to, growth mindset, culturally responsive practices, technology, self-advocacy, problem-solving, critical thinking, etc.
- Develop, write, coordinate, and present content for community partners on district technology platforms and initiatives.
- Develop content to support professional growth in the areas of instructional alignment, mastery, delivery, and cognitive demand.
- Coordinate the use of existing and emerging technologies to support and promote professional and digital learning objectives.
- Maintain accurate and easily accessible records and adhere to session protocols addressing session logistics such as registration and attendance.
- Attend district-wide, cross-training sessions to ensure knowledge of district programs and department initiatives.
- Participate in the roll-out of initiatives and resources to ensure that all products are updated, curricular programs align to data, and professional development supports the curriculum.
- Keep abreast of technical, legislative and professional development trends and help disseminate the information to appropriate personnel.
- Develop and maintain positive, collegial working relationships with peers/co-workers, leadership.
- personnel, campus administrators, and teachers.
- Assist with, and participate in, district-wide events, professional development, and other extracurricular Events.
- Maintain active involvement in related professional organizations.
- Effectively, efficiently, collaboratively, and cooperatively perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
- All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited university in related field.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate.
- Seven years of directly related successful educational experience in a multicultural setting, including classroom teaching experience, campus and central staff leadership experience, and professional development creation and presentation experience.
- Ability to create, implement, present, revise and differentiate learning opportunities for various audiences and levels of mastery.
- Knowledge of district core content curricula, resources, materials, and initiatives.
- Proven proficiency in technology, including video editing programs, technology in the classroom such as TI-Nspire graphing calculators, web-based applications including cloud based document systems, and digital instructional tools for the classroom and professional development such as videos, podcasts, and webinars.
- Knowledge of national, state, and local standards and initiatives.
- Effective leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position.
- Successful experience in practices which improve content knowledge and pedagogical skills.
- Familiar and comfortable with multiple mobile device platform.
